Frequently Asked Questions

Are Infinite Power Cells safe?

Yes, Infinite Power Cells are very safe. They are similar to the X-ray machine in your dentist’s office, except they can power homes and businesses. In fact, Infinite Power Cells are even more safe and user-friendly that a typical X-ray machine, because their radioisotopes are contained within a sealed chamber that is never exposed to the surrounding environment.

Where do you get the radioisotopes?

Radioisotopes are readily available throughout the world, and we purchase them from a range of established suppliers. In addition to working with major radioisotope providers and other industry stakeholders to meet our ongoing needs, we are developing a joint venture with the aim of reducing our radioisotope costs while allowing us to gain control over our supply chain.

What happens if an Infinite Power Cell is dropped or somehow damaged?

Because of the way Infinite Power Cells are constructed, you could drop one out of a ten-story window, and it would not be damaged. Each cell has an Infinite Power Box within an internal casing that is similar to the black box recorder of an airplane. Additional protection is conferred by the concrete housing that we apply on site during the installation process. The concrete-encased structure is then housed in a secured outer unit, akin to a shipping container.

How long will one Infinite Power Cell last—and how do you know?

The life span of radioisotopes is well established, both mathematically and in practice. Our preferred radioisotope, Europium-152, has a half-life of 13.5 years, so if we install a 10-kilowatt (kW) Infinite Power Cell today, it will have an output of 2.5 kW in 13.5 years. In 40.5 years, it will be 1.25 kW, and so forth until its output reaches zero. While an Infinite Power Cell will generate power for more than a century, it will only work at full capacity for approximately ten years. To ensure our cells are always operating at full capacity, we add Infinite Power Cells to each installation at ten-year intervals.

To create power over longer or shorter timeframes, we can use radioisotopes other than Europium-152. However, for optimal operational efficiency and cost effectiveness, we have chosen to work with radioisotopes that are easily made and processed, such as Europium-152 and Cobalt-60, ensuring a robust supply chain.

Are Infinite Power Cells difficult or expensive to make?

The manufacturing process, including assembly, is simple and cost effective. With a magnetron, we use the widely used technique of sputter deposition to layer the PN junction onto a glass substrate. Our future factories will be semi-automated, with robots performing the majority of assembly line tasks, to produce Infinite Power Cells that can provide 1000 to 2000 megawatts (MW) per year to each installation. Technicians will keep the line fed with raw materials 24/7 and ensure smooth operations and testing of the cells before they are dispatched for installation.

Can Infinite Power Cells be transported? Can they be shipped overseas?

Yes and yes. Radioisotopes are safely transported around the world on a regular basis by specialized carriers. The process is straightforward: a licensed courier moves the radioisotope and delivers it to the specified location. We use licensed third-party contractors to transport our radioisotopes as needed.

Are Infinite Power Cells costly to maintain?

No, because the only maintenance involved is routine status checks and augmentation at ten-year intervals through our low-cost top-up program, which can be completed within a few days. We anticipate that an annual allowance equal to approximately 2% of the construction budget will cover any costs associated with maintaining an Infinite Power Cell, including decennial top-ups.

How do you dispose of used Infinite Power Cells once they no longer work?

We do not foresee the need to dispose of a used or nonfunctional Infinite Power Cell, because we have the ability to continually extend its useful life by replenishing the radioisotope. In rare cases in which an Infinite Power Cell has to be replaced or retired, the box and cell can be safely recycled; neither component is radioactive. Any residual isotope material will be reactivated and inserted into another Infinite Power Cell, so no waste is generated.

What is the process to get a permit to use an Infinite Power Cell?

Because radioisotopes have been used extensively in most countries for more than 50 years, the related regulatory processes are well established and straightforward. We are fully licensed in the United Kingdom and estimate that it will take three to six months to secure the relevant approvals and licensing for each additional country.

What size facility can be powered using Infinite Power Cells?

Our technology is modular and scalable. Each Infinite Power Cell has an output of approximately 1kW. If you require 100kW, we will install 100 cells. There is no scale risk or added complexity to such an expansion. Infinite Power Cells can exceed 1000 MW of installed power, equivalent to that of a large power station, and our installations are already providing dedicated, reliable green power to high-value commercial clients, hospitals, and producers of green hydrogen.

Are Infinite Power Cells patented

Yes. We hold patents covering our innovative technology across most countries.

This all sounds too good to be true. Where can I see an Infinite Power Cell in action?

We hear this a lot. We have dedicated the last decade to developing this missing piece of green energy: a baseload power solution capable of empowering the future. We invite you to watch a video of an Infinite Power Cell in action or visit our headquarters in Cumbria, England, to get a closer look.

Can I purchase an Infinite Power Cell? How do I learn more?

Our business model is to sell power, not the technology. We are happy to discuss how we can work with you to deliver uninterruptable green baseload power on a long-term basis in a way that meets your unique needs. Please get in touch by contacting our team.
